Move a domain

If a custom domain was registered through MyMissionSite, the owner can transfer it to another registrar when the hosting term ends.

1. Sign in at the registrar you want to move to and start a transfer for the domain name.
2. Unlock the domain and copy the authorization code from the current registrar. When checkout is live, that code will be requested from our registrar for you.
3. Approve the transfer email that the registry sends to the domain’s contact address.
4. After the transfer finishes, point the domain wherever the new host tells you. MyMissionSite will no longer answer for it.

A domain you brought yourself stays at your own registrar. Stop using our nameservers when you leave, and the site will no longer be attached.
